ryan and i wrote this during our few days hitchhiking through turkey. we would thumb all day, lived on bread and oranges, and would pitch our tent on the side of the road in the evenings.

i was reading the celestine prophesy and the norton anthology of poetry. ryan was reading the bible and the quran.

had a heart of diamonds and his hand in the land

god is a cause and consequence
of both plant and animal consciousness
